Linguine alle Vongole Returns

πŸ“… Holiday hours: Yanni's is closed Saturday, July 4 & Sunday, July 5. Go enjoy your families.πŸŽ†

From the Vault

Some of you have been with us since the old location. You remember the dishes β€” the ones that quietly became your favorites, the ones you still bring up years later. This week, we're pulling one out of the vault.

Yanni's secret menu item is back: Linguine with Clams β€” or, as they say in Italy, linguine alle vongole. It's the dish the longtime regulars keep asking about, and for one week, it's yours again.

And while we've got you: tell us which old-location dish you miss most. Twist our arm. You never know what we'll bring back next. (Except for the chips, forget about the chips.)

Arneis β€” "the little rascal."

That's literally what the name means in the Piedmont dialect, earned by a grape so stubborn to grow it nearly went extinct in the 1960s β€” down to a handful of vines before a few diehard producers brought it back from the brink. For centuries it was even planted between the prized Nebbiolo rows as a "decoy," luring birds away from the better grapes. Today it's floral and gorgeous, with notes of pear, apricot, and a whisper of hazelnut. "You won't find it just anywhere" isn't a line β€” it's the grape's whole life story.

Vermentino β€” bottled coastline.

Grown along the Italian seaside in Sardinia and Liguria, it tastes like where it's from: salty sea spray, bright citrus, and a crisp green-almond finish. Wine writers reach for it the second clams hit the table β€” linguine alle vongole is its soulmate. Basically, this wine was built for this dish.

Closed July 4th & 5th β€” Happy 250th, AmericaπŸ¦…

Mark it down: Yanni's is closed July 4th and 5th. Our crew works hard, and they've earned a weekend with the people they love. We hope you get the same.

And what a year for it β€” the country's 250th birthday. Grill something, hug someone, watch the sky light up. Happy Fourth, Scripps Ranch. We'll be back and ready right after.

Need a Plan This Summer?

If you need plans this summer, here's a good one: the Scripps Ranch Run & Ride. Yanni sat down with the organizer to talk about it, and it's exactly the kind of neighborhood event we love to get behind. Give it a watch and come out for it.

Your Next Work Event Just Got Easier

Summer means company picnics, team lunches, and "can someone please just handle the food" moments. That someone is us. Yanni's corporate catering brings the food everyone actually wants β€” no sad sandwich trays, no compromises β€” to your office, your event, or your team gathering.

Take a look at the options and let's make your next work event the one people actually show up for.
