If You Had June Rain on Your Bingo Card…

…we have questions. And a favor to ask. Plus summer salad, cold wine, and Italian sausage rotini.

If You Had June Rain on Your Bingo Card…

Summer, Briefly Interrupted by Rain

Quick weather report from Scripps Ranch: it rained. Lightly. In the middle of June. We're choosing to take it personally.

It's gone now — back to perfect patio weather — but it got us thinking. If you called June rain, you're clearly plugged into something the rest of us aren't. So we're asking: reply and send us your World Cup predictions. Best call gets eternal bragging rights and a shout-out in a future newsletter.

Now, about this week's food…

This Week's Specials

Two reasons to come in this week: one light and summery, one rich and classic. Pick your mood.

Summer Salad (+ Cold White on the Patio)

First up: our Summer Salad — and it's loaded. Mixed greens, gorgonzola, red onion, diced tomatoes, and almonds, tossed in a bright citrus vinaigrette, finished with a balsamic reduction and topped with fresh summer peaches. Sweet, savory, crisp, and a little bit fancy.

Want to make it a meal? Add any of our grilled proteins. And here's the real move: get it on the patio with a cold glass of the Bernardus Sauvignon Blanc — crisp, bright, and made for exactly this. Salad, cold wine, warm evening, no agenda. That's the whole summer right there. (Available Now)

Also — Italian Sausage with Rotini (Starting Thursday)

And for the other side of the menu: Italian Sausage with Rotini. A Yanni's classic, and a favorite for a reason. Tri-colored rotini with savory Italian sausage, onion, bell pepper, mushroom, and tomatoes in a creamy tomato sauce — every twist of pasta grabbing a little more of it. This one's been making regulars happy for years, and one bite tells you why.

Yanni, In His Own Words

Yanni shared his philosophy on the restaurant business in a new video — what matters, what doesn't, and why he's still at it after all these years. Worth a watch.

A Big Thank You— and One Small Favor

Father's Day reminded us why we do this. So many of you brought your families in, and the whole weekend felt like exactly what a neighborhood restaurant is supposed to be. Thank you. Truly.

If we did right by you, do us one quick kindness: leave us a recommendation on Nextdoor. That's where neighbors talk, and a word from you carries more weight than anything we could ever say about ourselves.
