Well, That's a Wrap.

Don't know him? Google him. Then come get the Lamb Osso Bucco everyone's been begging for.

Well, That's a Wrap.

The World Cup is over, and congratulations to Spain — worthy champions. Spain over Argentina, 1-0 in extra time. Brutal, beautiful, and exactly the kind of ending this tournament deserved.

We hope this summer made you fall in love with the beautiful game the way we fell for Jude Bellingham. If that name means nothing to you, do yourself a favor and Google him. We'll wait. (See? Told you.)

It's been a ride — the predictions, the heartbreak, the questionable calls at 2pm on a Tuesday. But every tournament ends, and ours ends the way all good things should: with lamb. Read on.

Lamb Osso Bucco

Some specials come and go. This one comes back because you won't let it leave. Lamb Osso Bucco is back — and honestly, we can't keep it off the menu for long without risking a full-blown riot.

Slow-braised until the lamb surrenders right off the bone, rich and deep and exactly the kind of dish that makes a whole table go quiet. We're pairing it with the Bryn Mawr Pinot Noir 2022 from Oregon's Willamette Valley — deep ruby, with black cherry, sour cherry, baking spice, and an earthy undertone that wraps around braised lamb like they were made for each other. Elegant enough to be interesting, soft enough on tannin to let the lamb lead. A gorgeous match.

Bryn Mawr Pinot Noir 2022 — Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon. Deep ruby, with black cherry, sour cherry, and baking spice over a subtle earthiness. Fuller-bodied for an Oregon Pinot but beautifully balanced, with soft tannins that let braised lamb take the lead. Critics also clock notes of blackberry crumble, dark chocolate, and allspice.

Still a Hit — The Watermelon Tamarind

The World Cup may be over, but the Watermelon Tamarind isn't going anywhere — and thank goodness, because you fell hard for it. Blanco tequila, fresh watermelon, tangy tamarind, and a tajín rim that pulls the whole thing together. It was the unofficial drink of our summer, and it's still pouring. Get yours while it's hot — or, more accurately, while it's ice cold.
